True 500 Treadmill - Take Advantage Of The Options

The True 500 treadmill features decent size and pretty good options, but in comparison with other True models at this quality level, it's pricey, and that's saying something as True machines tend to be expensive.

True 500 treadmills can be purchased configured as non-programmable, programmable, and HRC (Heart Rate Control).

In other words, the quality and features of the machine itself stay the same, but the electronics change to the tune of a couple hundred dollars.

Not Run Of The Mill

All True treadmill models, whether for home gym or sports training, feature heavy-gauge, welded steel frames and what True calls the S.O.F.T. System (Shock absorbing, Orthopedically correct, Foot-plant, Transfer system), elsewhere known as deck cushioning, with a proprietary belt and deck system.

The True 500 HRC is also equipped with HRC (heart rate control) and includes wireless chest strap.

HRC models monitor heart rate and control speed and incline during training in response to your readings.

The True 500 handles a pretty heavy user weight of 400 pounds on a high quality belt of 20 x 54 inches with a 3.0HP motor, enough to reach speeds of 10 MPH on a 15% incline.

Depending on its configuration, the treadmill is either not programmable at all--the least expensive, can be programmed with nine pre-set programs with Hill Interval, Speed Interval, and Weight Loss as well as two customizable programs, or can run time-based heart rate workouts using HRC.

Readouts for all configurations include distance, grade, time, speed, pace, and calories, and for the HRC, heart rate.

Handrails are standard for all configurations.

Warranties on the True 500 are lifetime on the frame, 10-years on all parts, and 1-year on labor, an improvement over the 400 series.

Reviewers on Epinion rate the True 500 as especially quiet with a very accommodating deck size.

Another independant review suggests buyers look to the 450HRC for heart rate controls, if they want that feature, to save hundreds of dollars or choose the 500 OP.
