Life Span Treadmills - Young But Accomplished

Life Span treadmills are fairly new to the market, they're produced by PCE Health and Fitness, which started out developing fitness equipment for other companies in 1994.

Realizing their own success in development, PCE soon began producing the Life Span Treadmill.

Lifespan produced four quality models for the 2005 year, the TR1000-SL, the  TR2250-HR and TR2250-HRC, and the TR2500-HRC.

All are considered good entries in their class, though the quality and reliability of some parts are questioned, and the TR1000-SL, the base-level model, is rated a Best Buy at TreadmillDoctor and commended for good value in their review.

It sells for less than $900. 

A Warranty For Your Lifespan

The TR1000-SL is equipped with a 1.75CHP motor for speeds up to 10MPH and has an 18x54" running surface.

Its belt is 2-ply and it rides over 2.0" tapered rollers with oversized bearings, the deck is cushioned and folds away after use.

The TR1000-SL has six preset programs and EKG grip pulse heart rate monitoring, quick keys adjust speed and incline. 

The warranty on the TR1000-SL is lifetime on the frame, 10 years on the motor, 2 years on parts, and 1 year on labor.

The TR2250-HRC holds down the middle position in the Life Span lineup.

It differs from the TR2250-HR only slightly by having a bit more power, controls in the handlebars, and a chest strap for heart rate control included.

The TR2250-HRC has a 2.25CHP and goes up to 11MPH. Its running surface is 20x56" and its cushioned deck supports up to 300 lbs and inclines to 15%. 12 programs are preset, including body mass analysis and heart rate control, and it is also a folding design.

The warranty improves for these models to lifetime on frame and motor, 2 years on parts, and 1 year on labor.
