One of the smaller of Keys treadmills, 1500 is suitable for users of moderate weight and size willing to compromise quality for price.

A Good Trade-Off And You Can Step Up

The Keys EC1500's motor has a continuous 2.5HP, a cushioned deck, and an 18 x 51 inch belt size, but its weight capacity is only 250 pounds.

Still, it has power incline to 12% with a speed range up to 10MPH.

Feedback is displayed in five LED's and three preset fitness programs and six custom workouts can be programmed for a single user.

While quality and reliability may be a concern, the warranty is 10 years on the motor, two years on parts, and one year on labor, a considerable improvement since rated below-average in TreadmillDoctors review.

A comparable model, the Keys Health Trainer 502 (502t), offers remote control hand grips for control over speed and incline at a similar price and with the same warranty.

Larger users and running enthusiasts might be happier with the Keys Health Trainer 700 or 701 which is rated for a weight capacity of up to 350 pounds and has a 2.0 or 2.5 continuous power motor, a 20 x 56 inch belt, stronger rollers, a cushioned running surface, and remote control hand grips for controlling power and incline.

Depending on the dealer, these models are a little more in price than the EC1500 or 502t and carry the same warranty. All the models listed fold away after use.
